Natalia Marín (Spain, 1982) is a filmmaker, educator, curator and creative consultant.

She began her artistic career in 2008 as co-founder of the experimental film and video collective Los Hijos, together with Javier Fernández Vázquez (A Storm Is Coming, 2020) and Luis López Carrasco (The Year of the Discovery, 2020). Their films and installations have been presented at major international film festivals and cultural institutions, including Centre Pompidou, Lincoln Center, Anthology Film Archives, ICA London and Guggenheim Bilbao.

In 2016, she received the BBVA Foundation Multiverso Grant for Video Art Creation, through which she developed her first solo work, New Madrid. Her following film, Julio Iglesias’ House (2018), premiered at the Locarno Film Festival and was subsequently screened at TIFF – Toronto International Film Festival, Viennale, Jeonju International Film Festival and Art of the Real at Lincoln Center, among others.

Her latest film, Chronicle of Tiredness, premiered at FIDMarseille in 2026. She is currently co-writing La Victoria with Luis López Carrasco and collaborating on the development of Jaione Camborda’s next feature film.

Alongside her filmmaking practice, Marín has developed an extensive career in film programming, curating and cultural management. She served as Head of Programming and Programmer at Filmoteca Española between 2018 and 2024, was a member of the Selection Committee of the San Sebastián International Film Festival from 2019 to 2021, and joined the programming team of EUROPALIA ESPAÑA 2025, the Belgian international arts biennial..

As an educator, she regularly teaches at ECAM and EICTV (International School of Film and Television, Cuba). Since 2018, she has mentored emerging filmmakers and screenwriters at La Incubadora (ECAM Industria) and EQZE – Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola.

She also works as a creative consultant, collaborating with fiction and documentary filmmakers on script development, editing and project development.
